Lake Recording Studio established 1990 is now North West Ireland’s premier sound recording mastering studios and we also offer a Sound Engineering Course. The Recording Studio is a half hour drive down the N4 from Sligo and Longford. Situated on the border of Counties Roscommon, Leitrim and Sligo. in a quiet, rural setting literally on the shores of Drumharlow Lake where the River ‘Shannon’ and River ‘Boyle’ meet.
Lake Recording Studio is a spacious comfortable custom design studio, built and equipped to handle any type of recording session.
Lake Recording Studio features state of the art recording equipment and superb acoustics. Our acoustically designed control room is fully equipped with a 32 channel Sound Craft Ghost analogue console, some of the finest outboard equipment available and an excellent selection of microphones.                                  

 

 

 

Lake Recording Studio's industry standard ProTools HD2 digital audio recording, editing system perfectly complements the Tascam MSR-24S 1” Tape, 24 track Recorder with Dolby S. The combination of analogue sound and digital freedom is unrivalled. Analogue warmth seems to be the Holy Grail in these digital days. The recording studio also features three great sounding live rooms and a vocal booth. Lake Recording Studio clients can relax in this stress free and creative atmosphere or take a walk along the shores of Drumharlow Lake.

Lake Recording Studio is not just a recording studio it is also an Educational Centre. Providing Training and Education in Sound Engineering and Music Technology, offering the new FETAC Level 5 Major Award Qualification: Sound Production 5M2149. In conjunction with Drumshanbo College of Further Education and Leitrim VEC.This award was developed through the Common Award System

At Lake Recording Studio we work with a wide range of clients from Traditional Irish Music to Jazz and from Rock Music to Classical. We work with record labels as well as self financed musicians.
